I have always loved Walt Whitman and I found out today that he liked to be naked and thought that every living thing was as equal to every non-living thing. Needless to say, he was different.

I really despise politics.

After my long weekend in Tuscaloosa with my best friend, Maghen Olivia and my favorite person, Tysce Green, I have much to catch up on. We went to the basketball game and told LSU to “Geaux home!”. My first Lakeside experience with Maghen ended up being delicious and we also ran into the lovely Sarah Ann Hoge! It was a great weekend with the greatest people, none the less. I have to start writing my English paper that’s due in eight days and I need to be reading my New Testament religion book. But you know what?

I’d rather blog.

Not only does this week’s Celeb of the Week star on one of my favorite television shows, Gossip Girl, she also has a new leading role in The Roomate.
Leighton Marissa Claire Meester is a very hot, glam, successful actress born April 9, 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Although you may know her from GG, her first acting role on a tv program was on NBC's Law & Order in 1999. Leighton has also appeared in shows like Surface, Entourage, CSI: Miami, 8 Simple Rules, 24, 7th Heaven, and House. She moved with her family to New York City and soon after began working as a model with Wilhelmina, booking a Ralph Lauren campaign shot! Out of everything, of course, her character Blair Waldorf has definitely been her spectacular rise to stardom. She has even stated in interviews that she identifies with Blair "on every level, in one way or another."


I bet you didn't know that:

• She currently resides in New York.
• Has an older brother, Douglas Meester and a younger brother named Lex.
• She enjoys singing, and even sang in the movie "Drive Thru".

Living by Faith

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11;1


Your faith will be tried.
We are all different and we will be tried in many different ways and at different points in our lives. You have to hold steadfast to God’s word.
Why would God give us faith if we did not need it? He knows that we will be tried and we all will need it in some way or another, Life will get dark and you could walk down the wrong path and lose your way. I know that I have!


We are not promised that all of our day will be happy and trouble free. He gives us the power of faith for the tribulations that he foresees we will all go through. He knows everything we will do before we do it. Our blessings can be trials of faith, also. Riches are blessings of prosperity and can be very beneficial in life to everyone. But what if we get so wrapped up in this world we live in that we lose our way? We will lose our faith if we become accustomed to worldly things. We will all face affliction and have many burdens, some more than others. All children of God will have to face things that they had rather not. Some of us just have worse burdens or afflictions. That’s why it’s so important to keep your faith.


Pray.

Double Trouble

If you can’t already tell, I am beyond ready for the rest of my life. Talking about my future on my blog makes me very excited for everything God has in store for me. Getting my RN and getting a really good job in Huntsville, hopefully! And yes, getting married and having kids! Trust me, I will be extremely thankful for God granting me the wonderful pleasure of having kids. I want at least one of each, boy and girl. Although little boys are cute, I hope and pray that my first little one is precious little girl! Good gracious, are we in for it, Tysce Leverl.

If he is anything like Tysce, we are in for a ride!

We will have such a problem with those terrible terrible twos.
We will have to buy stock in Band-Aid.
His Papaw will teach him how to use a sling shot to break Mommy’s flower pots when he is 3.
He will go to his grandparents’ houses and come back spoiled rotten.
He will wear Vineyard Vines and Polo Ralph Lauren everyday to school.
He will have the best baseball glove and play catch with his Daddy until he is sick of it.
He’ll also come home everyday with mud stained khakis.
He will go to Kindergarten and cry for his Mommy!
He will be in a tree stand, with all of his Under Armour apparel, by the age of 5 if not before.
He’ll be very athletic and play point guard in basketball.
He will be very competitive.
He will hate shopping but never complain.
He will be so tiny but then hit a growth spurt when he hits his teens.
He will break every girl’s heart that he comes across until he finds the one to spend forever with!




If she is anything like me, we’re in for it.


Her “terrible’s” will be terrible three’s, instead of two’s.
She will sing really loud in church without even knowing the words. Just a solid tune.
She will have every Barbie doll and accessory known to Barbie World, but Mommy will probably have more fun with them than she will!
She will have a coordinating hair bow for all of her name brand outfits.
She will be hospitalized for every little reason imaginable.
She will be extremely tiny but the fastest one on the softball team.
She will have a feisty attitude.
She will go to Kindergarten and tell Mommy “There’s no crying in Kindergarten, Mom”.
She’ll teach herself how to ride a bike.
She will cut her hair at school by the first grade.
She will have two scars from surgical wounds by the time she’s six.
She will chase all of the boys on the playground, but never fall down because she won’t like mud.
She will be the shortest in her class for well, ever
She will get her heart broken and I will comfort her.
She will become a teenager and think I’m stupid and it will break my heart.
Then, I’ll call my Mom and apologize for everything, again.

Celeb Weekly

Almost every single night I watch E! to watch all the latest, funniest, weirdest, most outrageous celebrity ‘oh-my-God’s, over the top parties, and ‘Did she really just do that?’ moments. It is extremely entertaining to me. So I’ve decided that I am going to start picking a weekly person who I find very interesting. I’m calling it, Celeb Weekly.

Some of my favorite older movies like Hope Floats and Miss Congeniality both star an elegant, brown-headed lady who really knows her stuff! Sandra Annette Bullock was born July 26, 1964 in a Virginia suburb of Washington, DC, to a German opera singer and a voice teacher. Her family moved back to the Washington area when she was a teenager. She went to East Carolina University in NC where she studied acting. She then moved to New York to pursue a career on the stage.


In my opinion, her best role ever was playing Leigh Tuohy in The Blind Side. She looks amazing with blonde hair!

Sandra was chosen by People (USA) magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1996.


While working on Two if By Sea (1996), discovered she is highly allergic to horses. Which her and I have in common.

Where do I even begin? I love you. More than words can even express! Since Junior High, I always knew you were the one I wanted to be with. I kept wondering why no one even pared up to you. Not a lot of relationships can say that they have been in love for 6 years. I always had a feeling you would come back to me.

Thank you for every sweet little thing you do for me! Thank you for buying my food everywhere we go. Thank you for talking to me about our wedding and our kids all the time, it’s very sweet! Thank you for going to walmart with me, just because. I love you. Thank you for carpooling with me to school! Thank you for all the times you’ve put gas in my car. Thank you for everything you’ve ever bought me! Thank you for loving me! Thank you for being you!

Junior Prom. I had the best looking date! Thank you for not getting mad at me because I forgot our tickets to get in! It was pouring rain and I didn’t want to get my hair wet, but worst of all the tornado sirens were going off. Definitely one to remember!

Thanks for supporting me through ALL of my many hairstyles the past 2 and ½ years. You liked it better the way it is now and you didn’t want to hurt my feelings and tell me. I love you.

The first time our parents let us drive down to the football game by ourselves! I fell asleep on the way and you missed a turn causing us to get lost. Then we actually ended up getting there quicker than if we had not gotten lost. It rained and rained the whole way down and I had on nike shorts and flip flops, which I took off because I was getting blisters. We were soaked, along with 93,128 people, walking in the stadium and then as soon as we walked in to sit down, the rain stopped. It didn’t rain the whole game long and turned off really hot. Then as soon as the game was over, it came pouring again. Coincidence? I think not.

Rockefeller Center! Thank you for going to New York City with me, even though we missed tons of food and family back in Alabama. Thank you for (what you thought would be suffering) sitting through The Rockettes in NYC. Thank you for getting up at 5 am with me to get a perfect spot for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love you.

Reality

I have always enjoyed writing. In high school, I loved when a teacher wanted you to just journal about your summer or write a page on something you read in class. I love writing. I can say whatever I want on paper and I guess that’s what I like most about this blog. It’s mine and no one else’s. No one can tell me what to write about and even though you could be doing it right now, I don’t have to hear anyone critique what I’m blogging. It’s all my own and no one can stop me.


After all, life isn’t about impressing people, how many pictures of you are on Facebook, or how many friends you make through high school. It’s about the dreams you aspire to make real and the people who support you the whole way through. The ones that really care about you will always be there. They’ll be there on your wedding day. The best ones will be your bridesmaids! It has been very hard for me the past year to acknowledge things that were visibly there all along, yet I just chose not to see them. At times, I wish I had been more alert to the situations but then again, I made it through and I have a good name at the end of the day with nothing to worry about. I never have cared too much of people’s harsh opinions, however, I want people to realize that I am a good person.

There are reasons that people are in your life and why they leave your life. I just hope that if you are reading this, and you have a big group of friends, you don’t become too oblivious to the fact that people are and will be fake. You think you really know someone and you chose to believe that they are very sweet, innocently polite people. 78.5% aren’t. Your true friends will be there for you no matter what and the others, they were only a memory in a few of your high school pictures. Some only care about themselves, and at the end of the day, you were better off letting them go their own way. They were only your friend because you were in the same click or you just sat by them in class not even by choice. Not that everyone is fake, but reality is, life is hard and people are cruel. Might as well prepare for it early.
