This past week as we all have been snowed in, I have had plenty of time to think about what to write about next. I am so happy that so many have tuned in to see what my next topic will be about!
Thanks for reading! I really appreciate it!
Since I have had all this time, my mind has been everywhere from new websites I'd like to share, to the most interesting person of the week, to my weekly devotionals. All are sure to come! :)
Today's subject: His solitude with Us.
When God gets us alone through suffering, heartbreak, temptation, disappointment, sickness, or by desires, a broken friendship, or a new friendship, - when He gets us absolutely alone, and we are totally speechless, able to ask even one question, then He begins to teach us.
As you journey with God, the only thing He intends to be clear is the way He deals with your soul. The sorrows and difficulties in the lives of others will be absolutely confusing to you. We think we understand another person's struggle until God reveals the same shortcomings in our lives. There are vast areas of stubbornness and ignorance the Holy Spirit has to reveal in each of us, but it can only be done when Jesus gets us alone.
Are we alone with him now? Or are we more concerned with our own ideas, friendships, and cares for our bodies? Jesus cannot teach us anything until we quiet all our intellectual questions and get alone with Him.
My challenge to you. Pray.
Pray when you wake up.
Pray when you get in the car.
Pray when you get to work or school.
Pray in the classroom.
Pray when you eat.
Pray when you're driving.
Pray when you get home.
Pray.
Because there can never be enough prayer.
